A fire alarm system notifies us of an emergency, to take action to protect ourselves, our employees, and the general public.
Fire detection systems identify fire early when there is still enough time for inhabitants to safely evacuate. Control actions begin while the fire is still minor, early detection helps to reduce property loss and operational disruption. Fire alarm systems transmit information about the location of the fire to emergency responders, speeding up the firefighting procedure.
Sounders go off to warn those within the building that there may be a fire. The fire alarm system could include a remote signal system. It would then notify the fire department via a central station.

DESCRIPTION
The Infinity ID2 active repeater is used on an Infinity ID2 Panel.
It is powered from the ID2 Panel, so is connected via 4 cores: 2 x power and 2 x data. Op to 8 repeaters can be connected. The first 2 repeaters can be powered from the panel. Subsequent repeaters would need an external power supply.
Each repeater can be selectively configured to determine which commands it will send to the network. EG to allow some repeaters to reset the system, and others to not reset the system.
Each Repeater can also be configured to run in a different language (Although any device labels entered by the installer will just be in the language entered) -

The S4-INTERFACE-PROG kit can be used to program the S4-Interface units to simulate legacy 344XX range of interface units. This allows the S4 interface units to be used in place of old interfaces without the need to upgrade or re-commission the system.

Gent Four-Channel Mains Switching Interface with Enclosure (S4-34404)
The new Vigilon Mains Switching Interface units connect directly to the Vigilon system. The interface units are designed to provide heavy duty relay switching for both 24V and 230V applications with contacts rated at 13A. This interface is particularly suitable for switching damper control units and other building controls requiring a high contact rating for mains shutdown.
The range comprises of 2 versions – The new single channel interface is a direct replacement for the existing 34415 Mains Switching Interface. The 4 channel interface is a new addition to the Vigilon Interface range. Both variants offer extended functionality.

Every manual call point is continuously monitored ensuring a trigger is responded to in less than one second, system-wide. The range includes options for glass and resettable elements and lift-up protective covers. A key switch version is also available for areas where tampering or vandalism is expected. An Environmentally Protected (EP) version with Ingress protection rating IP67 is also available, complete with a resettable element, protective cover, and backbox. Gent 2.8M Venturi Tube for Duct Housing (S4-34760-28)
The S4-34760-28 from Gent is a 2.8 Venturi Tube for use with Duct Smoke Sensors. This device shall employ a molded plastic housing with a clear viewing window and metal probes (Gent 2.8M Venturi Tube) to pick up smoke in ventilation ducts. The housing shall provide a smoke entry test point and an airflow indication. Depending on the risk and sensitivity levels required, the sensor to be fitted shall be selected from the full range of sensors available and not factory fitted. This unit is particularly suitable for sensing smoke particles in ducting which is likely to be in large quantity and flowing fairly quickly.
