Conventional Fire Alarm System employs one or more initiating circuits linked to sensors wired in parallel. The number of such circuits used limits the information density. Best utilized for smaller applications, a conventional fire alarm remains a viable fire protection solution.
Conventional fire alarm system use zones. Multiple devices, both initiating and notification devices, make up a zone that connects to the main control panel. Conventional systems are analog in that they use electrical currents to communicate with the control panel.
Conventional system relies on individual circuits to communicate with the control panel. The panel’s ability to receive information limited by the number of devices it can support.

C-TEC Sounder Isolator Module (max. 30 per BF365SC) Part No. BF365IM
- A fault isolating module with sounder drive capability designed to meet requirement 17.9.2c of Dutch standard NEN2575.
- BSI certified to EN54 parts 17 & 18.
- Measures just 55mm x 55mm x 16mm (will fit in the base of most conventional sounders).
- Up to 30 BF365IM modules per BF365SC controller.
- Allows low-cost, non-fire resistant sounder circuit cabling to be used when used in conjunction with our BF365SC Sounder Isolator Controller (subject to fire officer approval).
- Wiring must be made in a loop arrangement, beginning and ending at the controller.
- If a wiring fault should occur, the Module(s) nearest to the faulty section of cabling will, if needed, isolate this section. As the Modules are driven from each direction, any loss of cable integrity will have no effect on the functionality of the actual sounders.

C-TEC Output Expansion Relay Board Part No. EP212
-
- An optional system expansion device for use with the EP203 three zone automatic extinguisher panel.
- Mounts inside the EP203Â panel to provide five volt free relay contacts (reset, mode, discharged, hold and abort).
- Reset relay switches during the panel’s reset cycle.
- Mode relay switches when the extinguishant system’s mode is changed to manual.
- Discharged relay switches when a released flow switch input (e.g. from the extinguishant pipework) is received to indicate the extinguishant has been released.
- Hold relay switches when a hold input is received at the panel. If the panel is in 2nd stage alarm (i.e. it is in automatic mode and detection circuits are activated, or it is in either automatic/manual mode and a manual release input is operated) the extinguishant release sequence is halted.
- Abort relay switches when an abort input is received at the panel to cancel the extinguishant release sequence.
