It can function as a fixed temperature detector when the preset threshold is exceeded, as defined by its sensitivity class. Additionally, it acts as a rate-of-rise detector when there is a sudden temperature spike. Upon detecting a critical change, it transmits an alarm signal to the interconnected fire alarm control panel and activates the built-in LED diode, providing a visual indication of the alarm status.
